Hi,
My site is in its second month posted, and I haven't had a great response
yet. Go take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Trav.

Some of the images are really nice and some are unremarkable. The
presentation overall is good. I think you can sell work this way if
you are constantly improving the quality of your images and making
sure that people are aware of the site--and not really us fellow
photographers. There are lots of really talented people out there that
you are competing with. Also, I would get away from inkjet prints and
try selling either ilfochrome or lightjet prints, something archival.
The prices seem quite reasonable--which could be good or bad.

Hi Travis,

I checked out yer site. It looks OK. Pretty much a sales site with no
additional information. The one thing I didn't like was when I clicked on
one thumbnail to get an enlargement, all the others came up. This is
deceptive, and folks don't like that kind of thing. That doesn't mean that
the web isn't full of this type of thing, but it doesn't endear people to
your site.

As far as the photos go, they were kind of ho-hum. But I really did like
the fantasy art-- especially the one with the turtles and the Earth. Very
clever!

Hi Travis,

It seems that your site is constructed towards commercial gains. It is hard
for
me to give this advice without being "snobby", so please don't be offended.
I don't know how long you have started but I think you might want to wait
until you have a strong collection of works before you try to sell. You have
some nice images and some of them seemed vibrant. However, some of the work
seemed not to be in favorable lighting conditions...ie ackward composition,
low contrast,
and low
saturation. You can present your work without price associated with it. And
only
have price associated with some very best ones. Even that seems a little
strange.

I don't take photographs for anyone besides the closest to me so I don't
have the added
pressure of marketability. However, if I did, I would wait until my skills
got better.
In my case, it might take a while :). Once you put your name out there, make
sure it
is the best you can do.

Good Luck,

Ann

If you want to drum up support, you should know that mne isn't the only
browser which needs http:// to be in front of a URL before we can 'click
through'.
Make it easy for your potential punters - I for one famously can't type a
URL correctly, and it's a hassle, so have generally given up trying unless I
*need* to visit a site.
