I own a landscape lighting company and want to keep a portfolio of our work
to show new clients.

I need some help with going about shooting for best results.

I have a Canon Eos with a zoom. I have a tripod as well.

What is the best type/speed film. etc.

Thanks

If you want the best phtos, you must to pay a professional photographer for
the work. He will has better objectives and knowlege than you. If you think
that your company can compete whith another companys, you have to let other
works to professionals.

i must agree with JM, use a pro! you might relate the scenario to some one
asking you how to wire a building for exterior lighting and you telling all of
your trade secrets to that person. now you might do that, but........what will
that really achieve? an illuminated building that looks like the owner did the
job himself, or his unemployed uncle did it because you wanted to be nice to him
and save some bucks at the same time. what do you really want to achieve? a
building's grounds that are not illuminated properly? and i know that as a pro.
you can tell, in your trade who had there work done by a pro. right?! these
photos sound like they will be representing your work. am i right? use a pro. i
would use you if i needed my building's grounds illuminated. good luck to you.

There really is no best type of film--however i would reccomend kodak
because it has a warmer emulsion tone than fujifilm. As far as film
speeds go, i would reccomend 400 or more .
