Can anyone please suggest any software that can convert a photograph to a
sketch or drawing.

I have Corel's Photopaint 8 but the results are very hit-and-miss.

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi,
Our PICPress product does a good job at this. Open your image and
choose 'Style', then 'Charcoal', 'Color Pencil', 'Water Color', etc.
Info and trial version: http://www.pegasusimaging.com/products/
Hope this helps,

Have you tried Painter? It has a tracing paper tool that lets you
"sketch" right over your photo, or paint, or use any number of
tools. It's pretty cool.

One method is to make a black and white photo on a matte surface paper.
Then draw over it with waterproof india ink. Then bleach out the photograph
with a solution of one one ounce bottle of colorless iodine per quart of water.
Then wash the print. Be carefull not to swallow the iodine, it is poisonous.

another good program for doing drawings from scanned photos is microsoft (ok
everyone groan now) image composer. if you want a quick easy way to do
pencil sketches this is the program to do it in, the plugin for it is an
awesome toy.

You might want to try Adobe Photodeluxe.
