I am interested in using the Nikon N90s capability to down load exposure
values. As I understand it, the following equipment is required:

Sharp Wizzard Electronic Organizer model OZ-8000/OZ-9000
Nikon Data Link IC card AC-2E
MC-27 connecting cord

I would like to hear from photographers who are using this system. I have
not found much information on the Sharp OZ's. What are the advantages of
one model over the other? Will the OZ-9500 do this job? Can the data be transferred to a PC for printing and storage?

The N90s is supposed to be able to store up to 34 rolls of 36 worth of
exposure data. The Sharp can hold up to 52 36-exposure rolls of data.

My hands are a little full to take notes while doing u/w photography. This
is a new system and it would be instructive to review the exposure data while
I am sorting my slides into the _round file_.

TIA,

Thanks for your response. Since this post I have found four people/stores using this system.
Two photo stores have the OZ 8000's. Two member of my U/W photo club use the OZ 95000 or the
OZ 9520. I called Sharp. I don't think they are going to support the OZ 8000's. I can not
find any OZ 8000's for sale in the Dallas stores.

I have yet to initialize my N90s for data logging. I hope to try this soon.

This is correct. Although, I don't think the OZ 9000 series is
compatible. I have the N90s and the Wizzard OZ 8000 series Electronic
Organiser. I have yet to find the money to buy the AC-2E and MC-27.
I think the AC-2E (from the pictures) that you need a OZ8000 series
just because the AC2E has function 'buttons' on the card itself,
therefore, the 'touch-pad' of the OZ 8000 is required. The OZ9000
"hides" the card (Surface of card cannot be seen once card is
inserted) therefore the functions cannot be accessed.
This is what I think. If it is not true, someone please correct me.

If you get the Wizzard to PC connector (Wizzard port to parallel
port), I'm pretty sure you can download it onto your PC.

I think this is true too.

I have both the card for the F90 and F90X (N90 and N90s) and use them on an
IQ-9000. The problem is that the IQ-9000 series has a smaller display area for
the photodata. The older IQ-8000 has a bigger area but it does not have a
touch screen.

I have not been able to find a way to download information into the PC. The is
not option in the card menu for such a function. I did hear of such a PC
program some time ago, but nothing else has come up since.

Does anyone know how it can be done, because this will be a great help!

I also have the AC-2E, and called Nikon late last week about how to
download exposure data from the Sharp Wizard to a [Windows/DOS] database.
The Nikon rep put me on hold for a while, then told me that Nikon had
mistakenly shipped the computer cards without a brochure about how to get
the software to download. He promised it to me via US post in a reasonable
amount of time (which has not yet expired to my way of thinking).

When the information arrives, I will post more details. What I don't
understand, and the Nikon rep was unable to answer, is what kind (and from
whom?) of a cable goes between the Wizard and the PC?.!
