The longer body of the Rollei SL66 will act as an extension tube for the
shorter mount distance Kiev lenses, preventing infinity focusing and
limiting you to macro work if a simple mechanical mount adapter is used.
In theory, you could possibly make a mount adapter with an optical adapter,
at a modest loss of optical quality, but in practice this approach seems
limited to 35mm optical element adapters (see bronmounts.html pages).
If anyone has done this optical adapter, I'd be interested in learning more;
I don't see why it couldn't be done, but think the demand is too low to
do it enough to advertise them? The mechanical adapters are pretty pricey too
Of the WJM listed mounts, only the bronica classic lenses are close to
the Rollei SL66 in both coverage, lens mount registration, and yet low
cost focal plane shutter lenses. The mamiyas are more pricey, and have a
leaf shutter in the lenses. There is an adapter, albeit pricey, for SL66
to mount odd-ball lenses. See http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/mf/rolleisl66.html
for examples of homebrew lenses on rollei SL66. I have heard of zoom
lenses and the like being used on rollei SL66 borrowed from bronica S2/EC...
However, bronica classic camera owners have a full range tilt/shift
deluxe bellows which preserves infinity focusing (with no movements) and
closeup tilt/shifts (front) well beyond the Rollei SL66 7 deg tilt. There is
also a low cost zeiss jena lens for bronica EC/S2a ($75-100 US) at 75mm,
although the regular nikkors for bronica aren't bad either ;-) While the
basic Rollei SL66 is a good buy at under $1k US, adding lenses is expensive.
I should note there are some possible exceptions to simple lens mount mm
analysis; for example, the shorter Kiev lenses fit with adaptation into
the enlarged throat of the Bronica S2A/EC, thanks to the downward
dropping mirror - letting you adapt the 30mm Kiev to bronica use! see
http://www.smu.edu/~rmonagha/bronfe.html for details/posting.
Similarly, I suspect that while most of the bronica tele lenses would work
on Sl66, some of the bronica wide angles stick pretty far back in the body
of the camera, and perhaps too far for use with SL66? So the issues aren't
as clearcut as it might seem ;-) Most of the adaptations to rolleiSL66 are
from larger formats (6x9, 4x5) using the plug adapter part.

hope this helps - bobm

I am not aware of any P6 to RII mount comercially available. But looking
at both cameras, the register of the K60 seems to be shorter than the one
of the Rollei (check WJ Markerink's register page for this), Therefore is
is phzsically impossible to adapt K60 lenses to the Rollei without using
additional optical elements.
In short: No.

If you can find an adaptor, you can buy Zeiss lenses in the
kiev60/pentacon/practica mount for very reasonable. I justbought a
Zeiss 50mm f4 flectogon and a 180 f4 sonnar for $480 from
http:www.photo-aresenal.com .They are used in near mint condition and
came with both caps and cases.
Good luck in the adaptor search.

It adapts Kiev 88 45 degree TTL prism to SL66. It says 390DM which is about
$205 US and includes the prism and adapter.
"Das TTL-Prisma der Kiev 88 bietet auf der Rollei SL66 folgende Vorteile..."
My German isn't very good, something like: "This Kiev 88 TTL-prism gives
Rollei SL66 the following benefits... exposure something blah blah lens...
leaves camera only very slightly altered" and goes on to use some words that
I don't know. The picture pretty much says it all though! Hope this helps
SL66 owners.
Can someone with better German translate it?

I've left them a message, last night, explaining that I keep getting
queries about their anti-flare kit for the K60 since I mentioned it on
here, and Mr. Baier sent me a reply, tonight, saying that he'll have the
site translated.
I take it, though, that he understands and writes English, so feel free
to contact him by email.
Cheers,
Ralf

The only true limit is clearance between the rear element
and
the mirror. I can't remember if the SL66's mirror pulls
back
as it rises. If it doesn't then there is a good chance
the lens can _be made to fit_.
You would need to remove the lens from its focusing helical
and machine an adapter to a the SL66's mount. However,
if you don't mind stop down operation then you should just
be able to wrap the lens in duct tape to form a jam fit into
the SL66. This sounds blasphemous, but it would work.
I'd buy a use WA lens and have a go. Doesn't work, put
it back together and sell it on ebay. Works, get a
draughtsman
and machinist to work and sell modified lenses.

I'm new to this group. My name is Peter Ingen Housz, I'm Dutch and live in
the old city of Maastricht. Amateur photographer for 40 years and hooked to
MF. I own an absolute mint 124G (one of the last from 1988), that I
purchased in a shop here about 7 years ago for $220, garantee and case
included No, I don't want to sell it . although it doesn't see very much
action anymore because I prefer my Hassy 500c/m with 50-80 and 150 mm.
Recently I sold a very nice Rolleiflex 3,5E Planar to a friend of mine.
As I am Dutch my German is pretty fair so I will translate what foto Bauer
has to say about the Kiev prism. (By the way I use one on my Hassy, bought
it on the German Ebay in mint condition for $ 55).
The webside says:
AT LAST THERE IS A 45* TTL PRISM FOR THE GOOD OLD SL 66!
THE TTL PRISM OF THE KIEV 88 HAS ON THE SL66 THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES:
- LIGHT METERING ALSO WITH THE OLD LENSES
- ATTACHED TO THE CAMERA BY MEANS OF THE ORIGINAL LATCH, EASY TO CHANGE
- CORRECT FINDER IMAGE (actual it says: with the correct sides, so not
mirrored)
- CORRECTION LENSES IN INDIVIDUAL STRENGTH, ALSO CYLINDRICAL POSSIBLE, 20 DM
($10) WHEN THE PRISM IS ORDERED, 25 DM ($12.50) SEPERATE.
- AND ANOTHER ADVANTAGE...........
THE PRICE 390 DM ($200) FOR PRISM + ADAPTER
By the way: it fits directly on a Hasselblad.
I hope that I could have been of some service,
