Can anyone help answer the following questions:

1) I've just bought an additional insert for my 645 Pro, I think it's
from a 645 Super back, can this be used in a Pro back?

2) If you look down from the top, there appears to be a spindle running
about half way down the back. This spindle isn't parallel to the rollers
but further away from the film plane on the left, it also fits into a
grove on the left and has a rubber wheel at the left hand side. On the
right side there is a very small metal cog which appears to rotate with
the spindle. I've noticed the spindle before, but not the wheel, anybody
know what it does?

3) With a take up spool fitted, rotating it seems very lumpy, perhaps
stopping each time the rubber wheel (above) falls into a 'hole' on the
edge of the spool. Is this normal?

4) Are 120 and 220 inserts interchangeable in the backs (i.e. is the
only difference the insert)?

All by current backs/inserts are currently loaded and I don't really
want to have to unload film to check.

Thanks in advance.

The inserts differ in that the 220 has a thicker pressure plate and a small
plastic wedge on the side held by two screws (this is the trigger for the
counter to go to 30 frames).

If the plastic wedge is removed it will be usable as a 120 insert.

cheers

Won't doing this change the position of the film plane?

Thanks for the replies.

No because the film is pushed up against the frame by the pressure plate.

The plastic wedge is only for the counter within the body.
