I have an hexar and G1, both great for their usages.
Hexar feels better in the hand, and is also more quiet.

The Hexar's projected bright lines are nice, and it's larger than the G1/G2
finders (not too surprising, since the (a) the whole camera is larger and
(b) the G finder has to fit in a zoom mechanism covering lenses 28-90mm.) I
still think the Hexar finder has excessive distortion compared to the
brightline finders you used to see even on semi-cheap compact RFs such as
the Olympus 35SP, but it's still pretty effective. And yes, it's quite a
bit cheaper.
On the other hand, if you need any lenses other than a 35mm f/2, or need to
shoot at 1/250, none of those advantages matter a hill of beans... the
Hexar is just NOT your camera.
All I'm trying to say is that they're not really directly comparable -- the
Hexar is aimed at a different target than the G1/G2, although they can be
used for some of the same purposes.

The hexar has a wonderful viewfinder. The G1's is a horror, especially
when you're using the 90mm lens. The hexar has a lot of other wonderful
characteristics but why are you thinking of switching?
