I post saying something about Islam,
it does not match up w/ what Wiki says,so...
I am a hate-filled bigot!

I'm not really, I just know a little more than is on the Wiki entry on Islam.
That's not hard to do - the page is does not go into great detail.

Anyway, Islam is having an impact on "our" world that will affect our
ability to freely point our cameras where we wish.

As for my cowardly anonymous posting, I don't need everybody knowing my real name.
Nowadays that's not a good idea, for many reasons.

thanks

1 - More Islamists mucking about, saying "get that camera out of here before I smash it!"
2 - More Police mucking about, saying "you are under arrest for suspicious photography"
while being mistaken for a terrorist, although you are actually a local.

Other people's opinions are fine by me - I am actually quite tolerant
of differing creeds, beliefs and opnions.

I am not tolerant of a belief system called "Islam".
It has shown itself not to be worthy of my tolerating it.

I think much in life is to be tolerated - but not Islam. What is so wrong about that?

Maybe nothing, but one should be careful about painting with a wide brush.
Perhaps, it is extremist factions that you are talking about? Many who
follow Islam are pacifists.

As to the extremists ... a simple message, all people have the right to

Many people posting on wikipedia are agenda-driven, not fact-driven.
Like the global warming kooks who keep frantically re-writing entries
dealing with climate change. Propagandists for sinister groups.
Until that site gets some kind of oversight, it will continue to be a
bit of a joke in some instances.

>Many people posting on wikipedia are agenda-driven, not fact-driven.

ad hominem:
The person presenting an argument is attacked instead of the
argument itself. This takes many forms. For example, the person's
character, nationality or religion may be attacked. Alternatively,
it may be pointed out that a person stands to gain from a
favourable outcome. Or, finally, a person may be attacked by
association, or by the company he keeps.
There are three major forms of Attacking the Person:

ad hominem (abusive): instead of attacking an assertion, the
argument attacks the person who made the assertion.
ad hominem (circumstantial): instead of attacking an assertion the
author points to the relationship between the person making the
assertion and the person's circumstances.
ad hominem (tu quoque): this form of attack on the person notes
that a person does not practise what he
preaches.

They don't have to be. All they or anyone needs to do is allow all muslims,

act, think, and behave just like all christians, muslims, and jews.

There's a small and finite amount of knowledge that anyone can learn from
the choices that a self-serving pig makes during their lifetime. (I..e. All
those that choose to support and promote any and all of the middle-east's
dichotomously manipulative self-victimizing belief systems.)

Yes, but remember that it's not always easy to tell which kooks and
propagandists are doing the re-writing. You may recall that the Bush-Cheney
junta regularly re-wrote Wikipedia entries that they considered critical of
them. They had apparently been doing it for quite some time before they were
exposed (and may, for all we know, have not stopped doing it even then).

I don't know about you, but my time is limited. That doesn't mean I only get

It wouldn't surprise me if the Bush spending wasn't with full knowledge that
they would lose in 2008 and tailored to make the Dems look like the bad
guys.

Fortunately, there are strong center Democrats who will stand up against
that policy and both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are smart enough to realize
it. Pelosi doesn't run the country and Obama is turning out to be more of a
centrist than most thought. In real life, like most politicians, she says
one thing while acting differently. (As an aside, a good friend of mine had
a $75,00 a year part time job, under the Republicans. The Dems won the
county election and the new supervisor requested he resign because in they
were looking to abolish part time positions. His job was filled by two full
timers each being paid $125,00.

When our Congress is strong enough to stand up to the drug companies and
enact legislation permitting Medicare to negotiate prices, I will have a lot
more respect for our political process. Until then I say both sides are FOS.

The matter falling into a black-hole now has nothing to impede its
acceleration. As it reaches the speed of light it then comes back into
existence as those large empty pockets of space that exists between all
galactic clusters. They are somewhat correct that as matter attains the
speed of light it will have infinite mass and exist everywhere, but not
quite. It just becomes these vastly huge pockets of "empty" space. Look at
any diagram of the charted galaxy positions and you'll see these large
bubbles of empty space. The black-holes acting like the 1/2 twist in a 3D
space much like the region in a Klein Bottle where its neck passes back
through itself to join again with the base. Matter then reforms out of this
empty space, popping into existence as sub-atomics. It's all rather
eloquent how it works. (I also find it a little humorous that dark-matter
comes from the heart of black-holes.)The only reason you perceive the

I'm not claiming plane-geometry to be an untruth. It's a truth for those
that want to use that particular tool for their required tasks. I'm only
saying that some people won't see it as the only truth. And some might see
it as no truth at all. For them, they will be correct. So, we are back at
"what is truth". My original comment on that still stands.

I dislike twats like "Ray Fischer" who engages in ad hominem attacks instead of using logic to make a point.
Because "Ray Fischer" may not be familiar with logic. And he's a cunt.

98% on the irony meter.

If Graham hates Muslims because they don't allow pork then it follows
that he also hates Jews for the same reason.

I don't think anyone here hates Muslims or Jews at all.

You don't think. You're just some kneejerk asshole.

I am not tolerant of a belief system called "Islam".
It has shown itself not to be worthy of my tolerating it.

I think much in life is to be tolerated - but not Islam.

That's from a few posts back in this thread.

An egg cream is a NYC delight, no eggs & no cream, as somebody who
lived in NYC, and frequented delis, I would have thought you would be
familiar with that beverage.

They look and sound good, but I didn't hear of them while I lived in the NYC
metropolitan area.....I first heard of them after 1960 sometime, when I was
living in San Francisco......I did drink something like that when I was
young.....It was a chocolate soda made without ice cream......kind of a
mixture of milk, chocolate syrup and carbonated water, but I forget what it
was called..... When I was growing up, I really wasn't a "New York City"
person....I grew up in Lynbrook, on Long Island, just outside the New York
City limits, in Nassau County, so there are a few NYC traditions that I am
unfamiliar with.

It is not a lost art, here on the Isle of Long.

A proper egg cream can only be made with Foxes-U-Bet syrup. It is impossible
to get a decent one outside of NYC. If you try, most will look at you as if
you had two heads.
