P&S's macro mode for landscape photo

As I understand - Close -up mode and landscape mode as well requires
small aperture (big f number).
Am I right?
Is macro mode in P&S helpful for each shooting particularly or both of
them.
And how it works?

I have 27 mm. P&S camera from Premier (Taiwan)with macro-lens and macro mode.
Can I use macro mode for landscape Photo.

Only if you have a very tiny landscape, and intend to photograph
it from a distance of a few centimeters. If your landscape
is several meters or kilometers away from you, macro mode will not
focus on it. Macro is for taking close-ups.
