What conditions will you be using it in? Inside? With or without flash?

The Canon is good, lots of good reports on it. The Sigma may not
work with a future Canon body and will need to be upgraded to
keep it working if that is possible. Low resale on the Sigma also.
Stick with the Canon. No clue on the Cosina.

I owned a Canon EF 28-105mm F/3.5-4.5 and found it to be an excellent value.
For the price optics were very good and construction was fine. I sold it about
a year ago and now use all primes.
I bought a used Sigma 28-105mm F/2.8-4 Ashperical in mint condition very cheap
($89) on eBay for my 15 year old son about 6 months ago to use on his Canon EOS
650. It is frankly a piece of junk. The optics are terrible, especially wide
open. I would not recommend this except for a beginner as a very cheap zoom.
The Canon is worth every penny of the difference.
Have never seen the Cosina. Buy the Canon 28-105, or better, buy a Canon
EF35mm f/2 and EF100mm f/2.

To reply via E-Mail, please remove the "nojunk" from my address
I use the Canon EF 28-105mm USM and I think its a great lens for the
money. Its not a super lens, but most beginners and amateurs should be
satisfied with its performance. I don't think I would consider either
the Sigma or the Cosina ones in that zoom range.
Hope this helps.

I am going to use it for all possible purposes, indoors and outdoors.
Thanks..
