Nikon FE and FE2 serial numbers.

Hello everyone.

I have two secondhand Nikons, a chrome FE and a black FE2, whose serial
numbers are 4414802 and 2329674 respectively.

Am I right in thinking, for example, that my FE was the 4,414,802nd made,
or is there no connection between serial numbers and numbers manufactured ?

Secondly, can anyone tell me when my cameras were made from their serial
numbers ?

AFAIK, there is no corelation between SN and Numbers manufactured.

You should definitely go to the Nikon site and get in touch with the support
service.
