within the Ottawa City limits and has a pretty diverse range of flora

That seems to be a bit heavy handed on the X-Post.
...and even the X-post to rec.photo.equipment.35mm could well be
considered "Off topic".

I have removed the non-photo group X-Posts, and I would suggest that
you post to the other groups individually so that the flame wars you
are engaged in there don't infect the photo groups.
