I got a lens recently that came with a Quantaray QMC-1A filter. Could
somebody tell me what types of other filters this might be equivelent?
It seems to have a slight warming effect, and doesn't have a noticable
loss of light (at least as far as my camera's meter is concerned).

It's a standard 1A sky (uv) filter.. I believe it's manufatured by Access or
Tiffen
for Ritz (Quantaray seller)

I heard that HOYA makes Ritz Camera's filters. I can't remember where I
heard it, but that's what I heard. Of course, that may be just a rumor.

David;
Designation of filter indicates its a 1a(skylight)filter.Disregard
QMC,Quantarays coding for
filters that they sell.Any other filters can be used on that lens.Hope
this helps.Good luck.MGM.

A multicoated skylight filter. Slighty pink, warming filter. No real
affect on exposure.

When you clean it, check carefully for smudges, even after you really
think it's clean.

Some Ritz places say they are HOYA. I would say possibly.
