How about some at the full 600.

I guess you weren't tempted to get teh 1.4 extender too, it seemed a bit pricey though.

Extenders only work well with prime lenses. Certainly, the only people
using them professionally are wildlife photographers spending at least
£6,000 on their lens.

Technically, you can use them on any lens, with good to terrifying results. In amateur astronomy,
they are used all the time to extend "reach" of scopes.

OK a few up there at 600mm. Unfortunately a bit of a hazy day for the
distance shots. Monopod again.

I have the sigma 150-600 and have the sigma 1.4 convertor , but it won't fit on my canon 70-300
because the internal elements stick out so the extender can't be attached to the canon lens.

cheers although it's always difficult to tell whether such a lens worth the money or effort of carrying around,
as some have asked me.
All I can say is that the differnce between men and boys is the size of our toys ;-)

Generally such devices have a list available of compatible lenses, but
theirs only applies to their own lenses.
