Has anyone used this frame? I'm only going to use it with the CF card. I
was wondering what people thought of the quality of the display. I was
going to get the Ceiva frame but I don't want to be tied to a subscription
based service.

Thanks,

Paul

i have no experience with the Kodak frame, but I can tell you that my wife and
I gave the ceiva frame to her parents this xmas. They live out of state and in
just the 2 weeks since then they would never want to be without it. Plus its a
blast to control the frame and its contents from across the country.

Sony also do one, but as expected from Sony is damned expensive.

It is the same as the Kodak StoryBook frame, which I have, except the
StoryBook wants to be connected to the Web. It is VGA resolution (640X3680)
and the colors are nice. My wife and I have it set to go on at the time
when we usually wake up, and enjoy seeing family pictures on it each
morning. I update the CF card myself, with my own pictures and ones we get
by e-mail.

> Thanks,

I have the non-networked version of this which I use with the CF card.
Picture quality is good. Viewing angle on the LCD is rather narrow. There
is no contrast control on it. Processor on it is somewhat slow. If you
are trying to scan through pictures quickly, it can be irritating. It
takes over 10 seconds for it to bring up the next picture. It seems to
start processing the next picture as soon as it has displayed one
picture. So if you were to wait for 10-20 seconds between pictures,
pressing NEXT will bring the picture up almost immediately. These are
mostly minore annoyances. Overall It is definitely a good value if you
can get it for $90-$150.

I know this is a little late but I thought I would give you all an update.
I just received my frame and I love it. The quality is much better than I
expected. Sure, it's a little slow moving from one image to the next but
it's not a big deal.

I love the fact that I'm not tied to a subscription service even though it
would be slightly more convenient (less work on my part to update my parents
frame).

Thanks to all those that gave me advice.

"You can display a slide show of a number of pictures, share your favorites
with your favorite people, without a computer, Just insert your Compact
Flash Card to load images. "

It's a picture frame that can display digital images, and allow you to do
simple manipulations.

I've got a Kodak 3215 digital camera that uses a multimedia card. Does a
multimedia card work with the digital picture frame. TIA

If your multimedia is in fact compactflash, yes you use it.
there are other digital frames that would accept other types of card that
you can consider.
