The size that you mention would be 4.7 mb in uncompressed mode. Compressing it
in JPG mode will give you 860, 585, 410, 350 kb sizes using the ThumbsPlus
compression settings 98, 95, 90, 85, respectively (100 being uncompressed).
However, to some extent, those sizes also depend on what your image shows, if it
is more or less uniform in colors etc. Should give you a ballpark estimate,
though.
If you can afford it, go for the biggest stick or see what the best deal is
(sometimes 2x 32 is cheaper than 1x64).

Best? My D770 can put 14 full size pictures (1344x1024) in its highest
quality setting (uncompressed TIFF) on a 64mb memstick. The D770's CCD
is essentially the same size as yours. If I drop the "quality" to
"high" instead of "super," I can put in excess of 60 pictures of the
same resolution on a 64mb stick. And the quality difference is so
insignificant unless you are intending to do a lot of post-processing
on it.
BTW, to those who have said that you cannot get a good quality print
larger than 8.5x11 off of a 1.3mpixel camera, that depends on the
camera and your resolution settings. I finally did a test printing of
a reasonably detailed and complex colored photo I took with my D770 set
to "high" (not "super") quality and 1344x1024. I had to +shrink+ the
image to fit it onto an 8.5x11 sheet of paper. That image, printed on
my run-of-the-mill printer (Canon BJC-4400) with photo ink and photo
printing paper came out very good. I don't doubt it would have printed
even better if I was using an actual photo printer, though.

That size I calculated at 13 meg and 1.625 meg pixel ...........

The jpgs from my camera run 20:1 at the highest quality setting. So your 13
meg uncompressed image should compress down to about 650K + or -. A
picture city scape picture will not compress as much as a sea scape. One
the last trip, I have two 64 meg cards which will hold 80 pics jgp (camera
specs.) both had over 80 pictures and one had over 90 pictures. The
subject matter has a lot to do with how many pictures you'll get per meg.
All amount are calculated at the hishest res, and a 20:1 compression
4 meg 6 pictures
8 meg 12 pictures
16 meg 24 pictures
32 meg 49 pictures
64 meg 98 pictures
