I found an advertisement in "Wired" with a pointer to their

I had a chance to play with the printer last week. It comes with
MGA Photo Suite which is OK. The photo were very good.
640x480 images from my Casio QV-100 looked very clean but the
printer produced great prints from higher resolution materials such as
PhotoCD which we tried. It appears that the printer will work at what ever
resolution that can
be sent by the PC. There are no controls on the printer; everything is
operated thru software and the printer driver.
Great item for $399

For another hundred bucks and a couple month's wait, you could get a photo
printer that does real photo 8x10s, much lower cost per photo, and can
print 300 dpi text on plain paper.
