Recommendation needed for Art Prints photography

I now am ready to replace my Kodak DC 4800 after a few years of good
service, as it is acting up and has become unreliable.
My main use of the camera is photographing artwork, most of it
unframed art prints used for website display and emailing purposes.
That means the images are almost always going to be rather small,
ultimately jpegs under 200k bytes. I also need good closeup capability
for small sculpture, at about 6-10 inches. Most work will be done
outside in natural daylight, no flash, but a built in flash is
desired. Price under $500, even under $400 would be good. I do not
need lots of gimmicks or very advanced features. Using Windows XP/USB
2.0.
