I just inherited an old Andreas Vegel Enlarger made in Stutgart (yr?). It has
a 80mm Schneider lens. Has anyone heard of this enlarger? Are their other,
shorter focal length lenses available for it?

In article <19981026230324...@ng103.aol.com>,

I don't know this enlarger (nor the brand ...) but the lens has certainly the
standard 39mm threaded mount.
Just unscrew it and measure the thread diameter.

Check with Rodenstock and Schneider which have on-line catalogs:
http://www.rodenstockoptics.de/pg3.html
http://www.schneideroptics.com/enlarge/enlarge.htm Nikon does also great
things in their EL-Nikkor line. I haven't seen an on-line catalog for these
lenses but you can find informations easily in your local shop.

Hi,
when it's one of Veigel's autofocus enlargers,
you should not change the lens.
When it's a manual-focus enlarger,
you can use any other lens.
Possible you need an adapter ring.

I have one of these enlargers, and I am looking for parts for it...
I see this is quite an old post, but I am interested in buying one of these...

the only info I have on mine is as follows,

Andreas Veigel, Exact 66 (Photo Enlarger)
Stuttgart-Bad, Camstall, Germany, 25213

...my black, plastic cover recently was damaged/broken, while moving it, & I am looking for parts to replace it, but I want a whole unit if I can find one...

I have used my enlarger quite a bit and really enjoy it, simply because it is so old and vintage in design... I would estimate from the finish that it is from the 40s or early 50s...

please e-mail me if you still have yours and/or might be interested in selling it...

Thanks
