Hi there! has any one any experience with Omega B-600 enlargers? Are they
good? Well say for a beginner who only wants to do B&W processing.

Any recomendations?

Thanks
Manuel

I recently bought one for a friend of mine, enlarger is not bad at all,
print size is limited but all enlargers are just boxes with a light and a
place to hold film, put a good lens on it and it should be fine.

All of the Omega enlargers are fairly good. Personally I like the D5 but
it's a 4X5 enlarger which is more than you are looking for. Other enlargers to
consider would be Durst and Beseler. Durst can be troublesome to find parts and
accessories for but generally are regarded as exceptional values when you find
one that will give you everything you want.

Good models from the above manufacturers are;

Beseler 23C/23CII/23CIII series

Durst M600, M300 series

Omega B600, B66, B22, C700/C760

Also consider any of the Saunders LPL enlargers.

Again, try to make sure you have all of the necessities you will need to
start printing as quickly as possible. Particularly negative carriers and
lensboards.

Note that I also have several enlarger manuals on my site.
