Like wise if you are trying to burn videos files to an audio cd, RealPlayer will convert it to audio format and then burn it to the disc. But in this case you can convert the video files to audio files manually using RealPlayer Converter and save it in your Realplayer Library. The converted files can be burned directly on a cd in a shorter period (Conversion process will not take place).

If you are currently using RealPlayer Plus 16 or the free version: Please open RealPlayer, click the RealPlayer logo in the upper left, and select Check for Update. You will then be able to update your RealPlayer to the newest build. Please note that you may need to re-enable the RealDownloader extension in your web browser as well by following this link:

Please could you explain why, that every time I attempt to burn a DVD using the PLUS 15 version of Realplayer I am confronted with a pop advert trying to get me to upgrade to the latest version 16. I am quite happy with version 15 and do not wish to upgrade at present. Please could you arrange a fix for this problem or advise how Ican get around this very annoying problem as soon as possible, as I desperatly need to burn some DVDs using this function.

I eagerly await your response.

RealPlayer SP includes audio CD burning capabilities, DVR-style playback buffering, multimedia search, Internet radio, a jukebox-style file library, an embedded web browser (using Microsoft Internet Explorer), and the ability to convert and transfer media to a wide range of devices. This includes music players such as iPod and Zune, smartphones such as iPhone and BlackBerry, portable gaming devices such as Sony PSP, and console gaming systems such as Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. Since version 11, RealPlayer SP has gained Flash Video support, DVD, SVCD, VCD burning (120-minute), and video recording (DRM is supported).

The best program I have seen that can do this is MiniTube. It allows you to search YouTube without using a web browser and also allows you to watch YouTube videos without having to use Flash. MiniTube will also let you download the video you are watching and save it to the directory of your choice.

John99: I did exactly what you suggested but Flash Player 10 simply does not load on my system, even with the debugger, whatever that is for. When I went back to my Planet Pulse site I got a FireFox message that additional add ons were necessary to show the video. When I clicked install, I got the latest Flash Player 11 version you suggested. So I'm still stuck - I can't download videos using RealPlayer. However, I downloaded a free app called BestVideoDownloader for YouTube videos and that takes care of my Planet Pulse downloads because they are YouTube videos. As far as videos on other websites, I use FVD Suite's downloader. Maybe FireFox and RealPlayer, not just Adobe, can come up with a RealPlayer downloader Add-on that works. This problem just occurred with the latest release of FireFox Desktop when it disabled my RealPlayer Browser Record (Downloader) Plugin Extension. If anyone else comes up with solutions, please post them. I will Thank You most graciously! My problem is not viewing videos but downloading them easily.

John99: Yes, Adobe confirms I am using 11.3.300.262 Flash. I disabled all other video extensions/plugins and Flash Player plays my videos everywhere including YouTube. With Flash Player and Real Player software everything still plays except that I can't download any videos. I enabled the RealPlayer downloader (Browser Record Plugin 15.0.4) and immediately I could not view any videos at all, except for a few on YouTube. They downloaded but would not replay in RealPlayer. I got a message that Real needed to download additional software. So I clicked Download but got a message that Real couldn't find the software, which was Detailed as being Content Type: video/webm. I don't know what this content is. So I disabled RealPlayer downloader (Browser Record Plugin) and I can see my videos again, but I can't download them using the RealPlayer DOWNLOAD button because it doesn't appear - it is some function of the Browser Record Plugin. So I'm back to the conflict between FireFox 13 and RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin 15.0.4 where I can't download videos using RealPlayer.

Yes, John99, you suppose correctly. It is this: Solution 3: Disable protected mode in Flash 11.3. I found this solution on RealPlayer's Interactive Support page (I'll document all the URLs I have used later in a Reply). I changed the Flash config file by using Notepad as follows: On 64-bit Windows, C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash5. Open mms.cfg.6. Add "ProtectedMode=0" (without the quotes) to the last line in the file. Save and close.

CheckMate: I greatly appreciate your Reply and am following it. When I uninstalled RealDownloader 1.1.0.66, my Download This Video disappeared again. So I uninstalled Flash Player 11.2.202.235, recommended by cor-el to use instead of Flash Player 11.3.300.262 which causes the problem by Protection, and installed Flash Player 10.3.183.20 recommended by you using your link. I re-booted my PC and now I have 1 click RECORDING (Downloading) of videos again! I also had to uninstall and re-install my Real Player 15.0.4.53 again too. The RealDownloader was interfering with it even after I uninstalled RealDownloader. Now I get a FF Message with Real Player's downloader extension 5.0.4.53 (included in the Real Player program 15.0.4.53) that it "causes security and stability issues". So far I haven't seen any such issues. But I can download my videos and don't need the additional RealDownloader program!!!!

Real-world table tennis performance was assessed using a mixed-model analysis of variance. The analysis comprised a between-subjects (VR training group vs control group) and a within-subjects (pre- and post-training) factor.

There are many examples of training in VR which has led to positive real-world outcomes. For example, when medical students used a medical VR training simulator to learn gallbladder dissection, they were able to perform the task 29% faster in the real world than non-VR trained students and with six times fewer errors [3]. Bliss et al. [9] found that VR could be used to train firefighters equally as well on real world spatial navigation as traditional methods, and Carlson et al. [10] found that VR training improved performance on a real world assembly task. However, researchers such as Kozak et al [11] found that there was no transfer of training from VR to the real world, in this case using a pick and place task. These conflicting results show that there is still more research that needs to be done on transfer of training from VR to the real world.

Despite these positive results, for VR to become an accepted tool in sports training, it must be determined whether it can have a real-world impact. The present study aimed to investigate the transfer effects from VR training to the real world, using the fast-paced sport of table tennis. It was hypothesised that VR table tennis training will lead to significant improvements (pre-test to post-test) in real-world performance (serving and rallying) on both quantitative aspects (serving accuracy and number of rallies without errors) and overall aspects of skill quality (ball height, strength, consistency, technique and coordination) as compared to no training.

The appropriate sample size was calculated using the G*Power3 software [19]. Experiment 1 in the study by Todorov et al. [13], examined transfer of table tennis skills in a virtual environment via number of target hits before and after virtual training, finding an effect size of 0.86. Using this effect size as an estimate for the Power Analysis, it was calculated that 18 participants per condition would be needed to suffice power (0.80) with α = 0.05.

The HTC Vive head-mounted display (HTC, with technology by Valve Corporation, April 2016) was used. Immersive stereoscopic head-mounted displays (HMD) such as the Vive create a sense of presence in the user by viewing a 360-degree virtual environment that moves in real time in accordance with the movements of the participant [20]. Users were required to wear the HMD while holding two controllers to interact within the virtual environment, one as a device to simulate ball dispersion and another as a simulated table tennis bat. The HMD accommodates users with visual impairments, by allowing them to wear glasses and contact lenses while using the device. The VR apparatus was used in a 1930mm x 3300mm room with two base stations installed in opposite corners, enabling room-scale tracking.

The study hypothesis was addressed using a mixed-model analysis of variance. The analysis comprised a between-subjects (VR training group vs control group) and a within-subjects (pre- and post-training) factor. The dependent variable was real-world table tennis performance assessed by an expert on both quantitative aspects and skill quality aspects.

VR training group: All VR training was completed using the HTC Vive HMD and the Eleven: Table Tennis VR application. During training, participants experienced relevant tasks that were assessed during pre-tests and post-tests including serving, backhand and forehand. Each participant in the VR training group completed a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes in VR, split across seven sessions. It was recommended that participants completed two sessions per week. Participants could complete only one training session per day.
