Subject says it all...

My rodent guy went out of business and PETCO just plain sucks as the
rodents do not appear to be that healthy. Not to mention that its
costing me an arm and legg to feed my snakes now. I need liive
rodents because 3 of my snakes will not accept prekilled no matter
what I do. Any help will be appreciated other wise I will have to
sell or find homes.

Thanks
Brent

Why not breed your own?

Where are you located? Often there are local breeders who sell cheap, and
people on the newsgroup can make recommendations.

Try this url -- http://www.kingsnake.com/market/food/
Houston Herpetological Supply has them, but I don't know if they ship live
ones -- www.houstonherp.com
Also look in local 'shopper' newspapers, (the free ones at the grocery
store) and classified ads. A fair number of reptile keepers raise their own
rodents and sell the excess.

Yeah - it's not hard. Mice stink, but rats don't unless you don't keep them
clean, and they're kind of fun, too. I don't raise them anymore, but only
because I don't have an inch of spare space in the garage.

I raised both mice, rats and cockroaches (L. Geckos). They ended up
being more hassel than they were worth.

Thanks

Try contacting Tommy Robinson in Grand Prarie. Tell him we sent you. Tommy
supplies a lot of pet stores in the metroplex and knows us from doing expos
and what-not.

If you don't have the space to breed your own did you check with your
local herp society? They would be a good source. I can ship live
rodents but they must come via Delta at a cost of about $65-70. snake
