And a herp? I need people who do to put their cams up on the internet on
my site at http://www.herpcam.com. It won't cost you much, if anything,
especially if you already have your own camera. I don't make any money from
my site, so I can't offer anything except for your own email address from my
site, like your...@herpcam.com. Please contact me if you are interested.
Thank you.

Is it possible to set up one that will record the herp like a video
camera or animation and continually upload the data to your site? So
the people watching can see a continuos video instead of just new
pictures every minute?

In article <38EDC9C0...@home.com>,

Yes. There are several ways to do it, the easiest I've found is using
"server push." Webcam32 does it. Be warned though, it is being directly
"sucked" from your computer, so slow connections mean slow streaming,
and lots of viewers one a slow connection mean even slower streaming.

Yeah, server push does it. It's best, as aquagrrl says, to use it on a
dedicated line, like cable or dsl. I had cable using server push last year,
and even with multiple people watching it, I didn't notice any slowdown on
my system while surfing. The program, Webcam32 used to cost only $25, but I
think it's up to $29 now. You can get it at www.surveyor.com. It's really
powerful software, and the only one I could find at the price that would do
server push. There's some freeware out there that can serve images to ftp,
but they won't stream.

Ah, computer-speak. I translated about one word in five.
