I recently adopted a ridgeback puppy and I'm interested in lure coursing once
shes a little older. Does anyone know if this is done in the Boston area, or
where I can get more info?

Yep. The next ASFA lure coursing trials (by my schedule) in
your area will be in N. Falmouth MA over Labor Day weekend.
I've never run in New England, so I honestly don't know if the
clubs in your area have practices over the summer. Try to make
it out over Labor Day to have a look, and let your pup practice
a few straightaways. (Dogs are not eligible for competition
until one year of age. I feel most dogs aren't ready for a full
course until 18 months or thereabouts, but there are exceptions,
and I am admittedly conservative.)

You are in ASFA region 8 and your regional director is: Jane
Schreiber, 2777 Roosevelt Ave, York, PA 17404. Drop her a line,
and she'll send you an information packet with a current schedule,
and a list of clubs. If you have any coursing questions, feel free
to EMail me. I'm not the most knowledgable guy in the world, but
I do try to seperate my opinions from facts, and I love to talk
dogs.

Hope to see you on the field sometime.
