My black lab Mac keeps diving in to the pool and swimming down to the bottom
(6 ft) to recover his ball, we check his ears weekly and they are fine and
he seems to love it. could it do him any harm?

Anecdotal evidence, of course: but my father's lab used
to dive into the lake for rocks. Other than slighly
blunted teeth, she never had any problems at all. Like
you, they checked her ears regularly.

Geez, that's cool. My hat is off to Max! My lab prefers to fish out
a submerged toy with his feet rather than have to put his face under
water.

If you could borrow an underwater camera, I'd sure like to see Das Max
show up in Alt.Binaries.Test ... 8-)

No problem with diving underwater - my 14 yr old bitch has been doing it
for years for rocks in lakes. The chemicals in pool water, however, are
a little tough on skin and coat.

How do you GET a lab in water LOLOL I have had 4 in total and whilst the first two were real water
lovers, these two are real cowards when it comes to the river, pool or sea!! Anything over their
ankles and they are away<BEG> ConnieD.
