Golden Retriever penis......

I've always had male dogs and never did like there pink boy as it comes out
especially when sitting.... but that's the way it is. But last night I saw
something new to me in all my years. His penis was fully out. At first I
thought something was really wrong like it was stuck that way. He was lying
there was this large one stuck out. When I first stood him up it stayed out,
but then I stood him up again and it did go back in. He's not neutered and
he doesn't hump much, but a friend I had over last night he does..... maybe
this friend just makes him horny? So is this common? sure wasn't a pretty

i have two male dogs, one neutered and one not. they both do this
periodically. my golden cross will normally lie on his back and spread
his legs, presumably to show off that his is much bigger than the jack
russel/pit bull mix's :) anyhow, i've never worried about it. neither
hump much. except each other sometimes.

My grandma had a nasty little dog that was alway 'hanging out'. He was not
neutered (only god knows why...he was an ugly little mutt) and he would get
infections down there all the time. If I were you, I get your dog neutered,
unless of course, he is a show dog (though I haven't figured out the logic
as to why that should matter in the shows). That should solve the problem
and if nothing else, he'll be healthier in the long run, happier (not always
sniffing for a girl) and since accidents DO happen, you won't have to worry
about him running off (possibly getting hit) and mating w/someones dog, when
there are already to many dogs in the world in need of homes.
