Hi All,
I have never been able to find a web site that had a comprehensive list
of Dogs Shows or Events, so I have created a DogShowz E-mail
Announcement list on Listbot.com.
This is an announcement list only, so you don't have to worry about your
mail box filling up with unwanted discussions. All are welcome to join,
and you can unsubscribe anytime you like.
To subscribe by e-mail send a message to:
DogShowz-...@listbot.com, or you can join from our web site at
http://www.execpc.com/~mi-kicoa/showlist.htm

If you belong to a Dog Club, Organization, either National or Local and
would like to send out info on the list, contact me by email with the
specifics.

TTFN :)

This doesn't make any sense to me. Why would I want to receive
email announcements of all shows, rather than go to www.infodogs.com
where I can send in my entries, see results, judging panels and the
actual premium lists? And if I were a club announcing an event, I
would also prefer to use infodogs so I can see judges availability
and also put up my match and seminar information.

Can you limit what is mailed to you to the organizations, geographical
area, and type of show of interest? If not I can't see why anyone would
do that to themselves. Who wants twenty e-mails all on stuff of no
interest at all? Once the information has been mailed out in what way is
it still available? If an announcement for a show near me is mailed out
today but I don't subscribe until next week how will I know (a) to search
the archives (I assume there are archives) and (b) what kind of search
will get me the information I need?

Much better to go to the web site for the kind of shows you are interested
in. The better web sites allow you to search by organization and
geographic area - Presto personalized information at the time you actually
want it (no storing away information).

Of course people can do this if they want, I just don't think its a very
effective way of handling the information. Web site works much better.

One really good example of a well designed web site for both submitting
and finding agility events is on Mary Jo Sminkey's Dogpatch agility page.
There is a web form for people to submit their events (little or no work
for the webmaster) and a form for searching by (a) organization, (b) type
of event and (c) state to get a nice focussed list of events. The
submission form really helps not only in terms of making it easy to get
stuff up in a timely manner but in making sure that all the information
the person has is posted, and in a consistent manner.

You can lead a person to facts, but you can't make them think.

So, tell me Freddy - will I be able to see when the honorable Mi-Ki will
have it's next National on your list?

Ugh! Someone shut me up already.

This is the list of dog show event calender that I have:

http://www.ptialaska.net/~pkalbaug/ukccalen.html
http://www.nadac.com/calendar_of_events.htm
http://www.ukcdogs.com/events.htm
http://www.akc.org/event.htm
http://www.dogpatch.org/agpage6.html
http://www.dogworldmag.com/show/

and for akc dog show
http://www.infodog.com/showinfo/showCal.htm
or
http://www.infodog.com/showinfo/showCal.htm (the search panel)

Of course, freddie the scammer can't find his scam mixed-breeds on any
legitmate show calender. No one is going to have anything to do with that
scam of his. I'm not surprised his next scam would include his own scam
calender.

But I'm glad the scammer-freddie gave so many of us an excuse to post our
favorite calender sites here for people looking for real ones.
