My fiancee and I were looking in a dog book and saw a Toy German Spitz.
I've done a couple web searches, but it doesn't seem to be listed.
Is this an uncommon dog? I did get one hit on pomeranians that say
something to the extent of being spitz-like. Anyone know of any place to
get more information on them? Do I have the wrong name? Know anything
about them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanx in advance. 8)
I believe that a Toy German Spitz is just the equivalent of a Pomeranian.
Sort of like a German Shepherd and Alsations.

Cheers, Tony &/or Colin Starratt: high on Keeshonden (Lupus, ADC, CGC)
Pomeranians (Precious, ADC), cats (Fur-
ball, DSH), sailboats (Nimble), sundry
sporting activities and handicrafts.
Pomeranians are not spitz-like, they .are. spitzes. They are small/toy
dogs which have been bred down in size (miniaturized, as opposed to
dwarf) from larger working sled dogs, and they've got all the spitz
characters except that they bark instead of howling, basically. :) In
other words, they're smart, think for themselves, and shed like a mother.
I have one and she's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
