A post to the Dachshund E-mail list brought to my attention a WWW page
which IMHO is a broker selling puppy mill puppies.
Address:
http://www.ascx.com/puppyclub/

They list many breeds, with outrageous prices and offer USDA certified
puppies, with Champions in the pedigree and WITH BREEDING rights.
E-mail them your order for any breed and they will supply you with the
puppy you want and even offer shipping world wide.
This is appalling. What do you think????

I checked it out. You can order, direct from those great
"USDA-licensed breeders" some nice champeen-line Crockers! Bull
Masatiffs, too. (I, unfortunately, am not kidding-that is the spelling
on their web page). Hmm. wonder about the champion lineage and
registration of the Cockapoos they have? And they also have Toy Fox
Terriers...wonder if they come from Pat Baily?

I e-mailed them asking if they could get me a Flat-Coated retriever,
since they advertised "all breeds" (they had some pretty bizarre ones
listed, like Kuvasz and Lakeland terriers). I'll let you know how they
respond.

What got me was the 600$ price tag on Cock-a-Poos, two different kinds of
Siberian Huskies (depending on eye color, of course) They also have
"Australian Terrier Dogs" Charge for the Labs differently depending on
color. Rat Terriers, even! Brittany spaniel, What I love are the
"Crockers" which are 600$. English Mastiff, not just Mastiff, English
Bulldog, not just Bulldog, trying to get better prices for them because of
the "English." Emily

Does anyone know where these puppies come from? What kind of operation is
this?

What a joke!! They want $500 for a mongrel? In my opinion, any
bonehead who buys a puppy from this person deserves what they are going
to get - a physically/mentally inferior, probably far-from-standard
miserable little puppy.
And don't you love the way female puppies cost more than males? This
is, of course, because you can *breed* the girls and make you some cash
on the side in six months or so, ayup. After all, they are pure bread.
I sent these people a friendly little note.

Oh my goodness... went through this "dealer"'s list of breeds and found,
"Australian Terrier Dog", "Cock-a-Poo" (of course), "Crocker", and
"Siberian Husky - Split eyes" (gee, that must be a rare type!!!). Also,
note the line at the bottom: "Many Champion lines and Breeding rights!"

Like Joe so often says, Geeeez.....

No, unfortunately he isn't kidding and I'm going to be sick. The prices
are just plain wierd. They charge $499 for a male black Lab, but $500
for a female. $899 for a female Great Dane and $910 for a male. Huh??

O.k. - I just called them. This is definitely a pet store selling
animals - I could hear puppies barking in the background. If case
anyone cares, their 2 year guarantee is a replacement puppy (i.e., you
give them your puppy and they give you a new one). Wannna' know
what's *really* sad? He says they sell a *lot* of puppies.
