Pomperanian questions

Although we have never seen a buff or cream colored Pom, we
understand that this is one of the colors. Is it one of the more
desirable colors or will a cream-colored Pom pup be hard to find?
And, when buying a purebred from a breeder, what can we expect to
get as far as a guarantee regarding health?

Years ago I never saw a Pom bigger than 4-6 pounds. Now it seems
that many of the Poms we see appear to be much larger; is this the
norm now? And, what's the price range for the Pomperanian? We're
not interested in a show dog, but rather a nice, healthy pet. BTW,
we're not in the market to buy right now but want to do some
research first as we still have two older mixed breed dogs that we
dearly love.

Why don't you go to the AKC Web page and you can read the breed
specifications for Poms. You can also do a seach because there are many
web pages for them that will give you the information you want.

Cream is a little harder to come by than orange/red. You should choose a
breeder that offers a full health warranty and one that stands behind
his/her pups after the sale.
The standard for a pom is 3-7 pounds-but 3-5 pounds being the more
desireable.
Poms come in many colors: Cream, cream sable, orange,
orange sable, red, red sable, chocolate,
chocolate & tan, black, black&tan,
white, blue, brindle, black parti, blue parti, orange parti,
sable parti, wolf sable, blue & tan, sable.
