Sometimes I think she is just saying "Stop talking and go to sleep!"
at ohers I think it may be some form of love-action.
Does anyone else have a cat that does this or any other ideas as to why
she does it?

Both of mine do it when I'm reclining and they're stretched out along my
tummy and chest. If one of them does this, sometimes it's in conjunction
with a stretch and sometimes she just picks up a paw and puts it there. My
reaction? I kiss the paw. Then the cat will withdraw the paw, reposition
herself, put her head down and continue purring. It's very cute, whatever
the reason. :^)

When my sister's cat Sarabi does this, she just gently bites at
the paws. Sarabi then stops this and finds something else to do, such as
sit on the newspaper somebody else is reading, or start eating the
dog's food and bop the dog on the nose when the dog gets irked.

Morgen and Lila do this in the morning when IT IS TIME TO GET UP. One
paw in my mouth. Usually works!
