I was wondering about this once a month pill that controls fleas in
cats. Does it really do what it says and more importantly: what risks
does it pose for the cat. It seems such a great benefit but then how
can it work without side effects? thanks for your input.

This is our second summer on Program, and it has certainly performed as
promised. Last summer we had a huge flea infestation in progress when I
began administering Program, and though I began noticing a change in the
flea population within a couple weeks, it took about 6 weeks before the
fleas were really gone (Program doesn't kill the adult fleas--it makes
their eggs unviable, so that new fleas don't hatch or, if they do, the
baby fleas don't survive--consequently you have to wait for all the eggs
laid by the resident fleas to hatch and consume the Program-tainted blood
and lay unviable eggs -- about 4-6 weeks -- in the meantime I sprayed the
house and environs pretty thoroughly as well). But once the fleas were
gone, they were gone. This summer I made sure to begin administering
Program before the flea season, and I haven't seen a single flea so far --
and my cats don't have little scabby scritchy places on their skin, and my
one cat who has a flea-allergy dermititis has a full coat of fur--no bald
patches, no sores, nothing (she's sooooo pretty!). There have been no
other noticeable side effects, though obviously I can't speak to long-term
usage. I certainly hope there won't be any problems discovered down the
line, because for us Program has worked wonderfully! --Sherry

This is the second summer that I have used this product. My opinion is
it works GREAT. Haven't had a flea in the house this summer at all!!

As for side effects............. I don't know, nothing that I have seen
in my two.

Cheers
Don
