Anyone know of what kind of precautions can be taken against flea
bomb/spray vapors getting into computers? Is it really dangerous
providing the computer is turned off first?

We stick our towers in plastic garbage bags, close them w/rubber bands,
and spray away. Remove, and dispose of, the garbage bags, and you're
ready to boot up!

If you turn the machine off (so that the fan doesn't pull the vapors) it
shouldn't be a problem. You could throw a blanket over them if you want.

when we first moved into our current apt. it was infested w/ roaches.
unfortunately it was due to the downstairs neighbors. we went through
many many roach and flea bombs to get rid of those nasties. what we did
was to unplug the computer and seal it off with a clear plastic tarp.
we used clear so that we could see if any of the buggers had gotten into
the computer and came running out.

at any rate, be sure to cover the computer with plastic of some sort. the
electronics in them do not like bug-bombs of any kind.

Last year, when we had to bomb the apartment several times, we didn't cover the
computer at all (didn't think of it) and had absolutely NO problems with it
afterwards. The only "problem" we have now is that Zanie and Mungo likes to
sit on the printer ;-).

Hope this helps
