Our Kitty seems to be breathing at a rate of about 54 breaths per minute. What
is the normal breathing rate for a cat? What is the normal pulse for a cat?

My home vet book states that the normal pulse rate is 140-240 beats per minute -
with the mean pulse rate being 195. For neonatal kittens the normal rate is
200-300 beats per minute, and the normal respiration rate is 20-40 breaths per
minute.
