Drum roll please! Here are the winners of the Hallowwen Hop Costume
Contest! The categories are Most Original, Most Believable, Most
Glamorous/Handsome, and Scariest. Here are the winners... ta-da!
Most Original goes to Hobbes, who blew us away as a pile of leaves!
Most Believable goes to Shu! (Now he won't have to be chased anymore!)
Most Glamorous/Handsome... is a tie. Ceilidh&Rocky, who were dressed
beautifully as Anna and the King of Siam, and Shamrock&Stinky, looking
magnificent as Sir Stinky of Catifurnia and Lady Shamrock of Galway, share
this title!
Scariest goes to Buster, who nearly scared all the cats away as a TED!
Also, I would like to announce a special award. Talisker Pippin recieves
the special "Most Meaningful" award. Dressing up as her mentor, Spike, was
very touching brought a tear to the eyes of everyone who remembers and
loves Spike.
Before I step down, I'd like to thank everyone who entered the contest,
whether you recieved an award or not. I lvoed all the costumes that were
entered, and the judges had a great time reading all the descriptions. I
hope even more kitties will enter next year!
Well, have a great time tonight. This has been so much fun, it's hard to
believe the Hop will be over so soon. But it's already five days past
Halloween, so I'm sure we've all had enough partying. :) Besides, we'll
all want to rest up before the KCC 100th Member Party on November 9th.
Let's make the last dance of the night "Over the Rainbow" to honor all the
meowchat kitties who have passed on. So hold your winkink close, and think
of all the great times we had with Spike, Yunyur, Finn, and all the
others.

Mrewowowow, Kitsen. My wunnerful winkwink Rocko and I are furry happy and
proud to be winnerz and to share thuh prize wif Shamrock n Stinky, whu
are speshully glameruss in their mideevil costoomz. (Oh -- I know this
wuz just cuz it'z been a long and eggsiting nite, but I'm wif Rock*o*, not
Rock*y* -- I wudn't want ennyone to fink I'd been stepping out on my
Rocko wif anuther kitty.) It wuz a grate partee -- I wuz still humming
King-n-I songz onna way home, and my bestest frend Skye wuz humming liddle
dancey toonz under her breff after playing Fred-n-Jinjur wif Rocko's
bruvver Oliver all nite. And u shudda seen Tally! She musta had az much
shampane herself az she poured fur uther kittiez, and when we got home she
just stumbled around dripping gray ashez all over efurryfing, and then she
went to sleep wif her pawz wrapped round thuh empty shampane bottle. We
cud hardly git her up to catch thuh Vote-Early-N-Offen-Fur-Clarence
limmozeen in time fur thuh eleckshun. It wuz funfun partee -- fangu,
Kitsen, fur making it so speshul.

Dear, sweet Tally. I'm so proud that you won a prize. (I hope it was
some kind of seafood?) I am also very proud (sorry, I'll whisper now)
of the excellent job you did of honoring Spike's mememory. Can I send
you anything? Generally, Spike just liked to be left alone when he had
"over-hydrated" himself.
And Kitsen, I haven't forgotten you. Thank you ever so much for

long nap. Thuh prize *may* have been seefud -- I don't quite remember,
but I fink I felt pritty gud, so it cudda been. It wuz quite a party, and
it wuz fun giving shampane to efurrykitty, tho maybe next time I don't
need to taste-test *efurry* glass. It did seem like a gud ideea at thuh
time. I'm glad u liked my costoom -- that makez me feel furrry
