Hi All,

My cat used to go out into the garden and surrounding gardens for
hours, but recently we had a shed put up at the bottom of our garden
and she will do nothing but sit by the side of it?

She isn't as active as she was a few weeks ago but then again winter
is coming and the nights are getting colder....could this be why she
is acting different?

regards

Dave & Teresa

Hi,
If you feel worried or your cat has other symptoms take her to the
vet for a check up. Cats are active for short periods and snooze a lot in
between.. It could be that your cat was sleeping in someone else's garden
and now has decided she prefers your shed. My cat Kim loves to sleep in the
garden shed in the day when the weather is warm but when its colder she
prefers to stay indoors.

If the shed is a closed storage shed it's possible that mice have gotten
in and Fudge is interested in them. Last week I caught a mouse in a
trap in my storage shed.

Don't even try to figure out your cat, guys. It's a losing
proposition. Our little tomcat loves to sample lounging on any new
piece of furniture we get, or any other flat surface he hasn't tried
yet. He uses them for about a week and then tries something new. Go
figure.
First it was the roll-top desk. Little bugger knocked everything off
the top everyday until we got the message. Next, it was the captain's
chair we brought out of storage. He lounged on it constantly. A week
later, it was the computer desk... again, everything on the floor.
Then the chair in the music room. Now, I think his abode is the coffee
table.
Yep, just when you think you've got them figured out, they change on
you. Just thank God they don't get into the garbage.

Yup - Bonnie does that too.

The windowsill, top of the television, pile of freshly cleaned clothes,
wardrobes - you name it, she'll sleep in it. I have to watch her if I'm
cleaning out my Car interior, cause she'll jump in and make herself
comfortable.

Right now she likes the computer chair if I'm not in it :)
