Last week I read that on Stamps.com, you can make custom stamps with your
own photos. Of course I immediately went and placed an order for two
sheets, and they arrived today. I got a sheet with a picture of Stinky (one
of the cats at work) and a sheet with my sister's cat, Peasy. I chose
Peasy's picture over my own cats because it's really cute. My niece put
Peasy in her doll stroller, and Peasy just calmly sat there for awhile and
let me take pictures. She'll also let me niece dress her in doll clothes
without a fuss.

The only downside is the stamps are really expensive, almost $1 each for 37
cents postage. You can get other amounts as well but I didn't price those.
The stamps can be used just like any other you buy in the Post Office.
They're a little bigger than ordinary stamps, so the pictures are very
clear.

Liz, off to write a few letters to use her new cat stamps

Yeah, I saw a little piece about this site on CNN last night. So, they came
out nicely done, then, I take it?

Yikes, that's steep. You could print small jpgs on your envelopes, and use
regular stamps.

Yeah, but I'm thinking of ordering some as a present for someone else. [Not
of my cat(s), but using a subject the other person would like on the
stamps!)]

I know, but I just HAD to try it. I put the pictures I used (Stinky &
Peasy) here:

My scanner doesn't work or else I'd scan the sheet of stamps.

I guess yours took a little over a week to arrive. I think they are getting
backed up. I put my order in a week ago and they still say it is being
processed.

I ordered them on 9/2, so it was about a week total to process, ship &
receive the stamps. I've seen a couple of stories about the stamps this
past week, so I guess a lot of people are ordering now.

Did you get cats on your stamps?

No, it was a gift for someone else. But I absolutely loved your pictures.
