Victor and the Fantastic Seven, minus one. :(
This is the most dreadful thing you've had to do but there sometimes comes a
time when it's the right thing. It's what we get for having them in our
lives - the payback when we have to let them go because we live longer than
they do

Why does the ultimate act of love have to hurt so very much?
We're so very very sorry to hear this.

pancakes can you fit in a doghouse? None, icecream doesn't have bones.

It's always going to be a hard decision, and it's so tempting to try
to put it off, but you put Basho first, as a true friend does.
Jeanette
We're so sorry for your loss. I've sent a prayer up to our 3 to show
sweet Basho around.

My sincerest condolences for your loss. May Bast bless Basho on his
way to the Bridge

I'm really sorry, Victor. I'm glad you're not left catless on this
sad day, but each cat we love is irreplaceable. Give Issa lots of
love in the next few days, he'll need it, too. I'm sure he'll come
around when you explain it all to him. Ending pain by saying farewell
is the loving responsible thing to do, but it doesn't change how much
we miss them!
Melsisa
It can be so hard to do the right thing. You know you did but still
there is pain. It is good that you told him about the Bridge, it
helped him go without fear, I am sure. My WooToo told our mom to
welcome him with a treat, when the other kittees are done greeting
him.
Issa will be comforting _you_ before long.

He was such a good little cat! I'll always remember what vivid blue
eyes he had on his dark face, and how he liked to curl up asleep with
his friends, especially Issa:
Victor,
I am so very sorry that you have had to make this decision even though
you know it is the final gift of love. Purrs and gentle headbutts for
you and Issa. I'm sure Hobbes and Selena will join the rpca welcome
that Basho will receive at the Bridge.
Hugs,
Julie, Lacey, Sam, Barnabus, Meeka and Rosco
Farewell, my humans, yet not farewell,
Where I go you too shall dwell.
I am gone before your face,
A moment's time, a little space.
When you come where I have stepped,
You will wonder why you wept.
--Edwin Arnold

"May you see with eyes of light in everdark, may your mind walk free and
unfettered amongst all, touching wisely and well, may you go in peace."
Gayle Greeno - "Mindspeaker's Call"
Trust us, you did do the right thing, hard as it is. You are a brave
man, and Basho was a brave little soldier. We are so sorry for the
loss of your dear little one. He's in no pain now, and relaxing
comfortably in what I call the Elysian Plains until you come back to
stay. Please give Issa some extra loving and he'll understand. They
just seem to *know*.
Blessed be,
Baha
It's never easy- everyone here knows that but it's the last act of
