Hugh- slave of Bingo (RB), Chloe, Tigger and Bandit who I mentioned
here many times before is a manager at one of their branches and is
sure by Christmas at the very latest he will be out of work, which is
not a comfortable prospect for someone in their 50's at the best of
times and this ain't it. He could be said to not be having a good
year as his mother died a few months ago and he's currently going
spare getting the estate sorted out on top of this other business so
if you have any spare purrs that he manages to hang onto his job or
failing that get another one quickly.
And also if you have any other purrs left...his assistant manager is
Unka Chaz who has no owners of his own but when he comes round here as
far as the Fabulous Furballs are concerned the rest of us can just go
away-they're all over him- he's about their favourite Unka

Purrs for Hugh and everyone else getting laid off, it looks like being a
long time before things get better.

Tuna Place (job) purrs and thoughts going out to all who are without
work and want to be working. Ok, clumsy, but I try. I'm adding my
group to the mix as Mandi Lynn is the only one of the four working right
now. She's in the children's department at a Seattle Macy's (department
store)

I'm so sorry to hear about all this and send loving purrs for your needs.

Alas Hugh and Chaz were both told at 3.00 Thursday afternoon their
branch is being closed on the 23rd or 24th of this month, and there's
one thing I didn't know about. Hugh's been with the company for 17
years and with the fact he's over 41 gets enhanced redundancy so he's
looking at a tidy sum tax free but as the company is in administration
to get it he's got to apply to some government fund that will take 2-3
months to send him the cheque (Whenever I've been made redundant it's
because of restructuring and the cheque has arrived within a few days
of my leaving) which is far from good news.
I guess purrs that they get something else quickly are in order
