Your recommendation of the Hair, Skin an Nails vitamins, along with
Minoxidil, gaining weight and eating lots of protein has caused my hair
to grow back in again. Most women can get by with make-up to cover
imperfections, girdles to handle a bit of flab, but going bald is the
worst, most degrading/demoralizing/defeminizing things there are. I'm
so happy that I can go places without a hat of a wig again (of course
now I have to tag along with woundvac and tubing, but even that isn't as
bad as being almost bald. Of course now I have to shave regularly, but
hey, small change! ;>

So thanks again for recommending it.

I think I would rather be bald than grow a beard/mustache. To each her
own....

I wouldn't from experience, besides a few stray hairs, but I would think
waxing would be easy enough to do and not much bother, but wigs and hats
are the pits.

I'm glad it helped. I don't think it was a magic potion, since my
shedding
was caused by poor nutrition and the ensuing surgery stuff but it had
to have helped some. Yours probably was, too. It *is* odd how vain
we are about our hair -- I'm not vain about anything else -- and my DH
is mostly bald but IMO he's much more attractive than he was with
a full head of 1970's helmet hair.

Same here. I'm just hoping my returning weight loss doesn't put me
through that again though.

And it has to be the *right* sort of hair, too!

I spend my life wishing that one sort would grow thicker, longer and
stronger, and cursing at other sorts of hair for growing thicker, longer
& stronger!

Isn't it crazy? We're not the only ones, judging from the rows and
rows
of haircare products (some insanely expensive) in stores that promise
us thicker, longer, curlier, straighter, de-frizzed, shinier locks. A
multi-billion dollar industry I am sure. BTW, I love what you have
done
to your hair....it looks a bit lighter? Anyway, it looks great.

I hope so too....but I don't think it's entirely weight-loss related.
There's
something about the whole surgery thing that just makes your hair
fall out. I'm sure there's a whole technical/medical reason for it, or
possibly just trauma to the body. I completely sympathize. At least
now you kind of know what to expect, and that it *is* temporary. It's
very alarming when you first run your fingers through your hair, and
end up with a handful of hair.

I had a job interview a few months ago and decided to take the grey out.
Got it colour matched to my natural colour, pre-grey. What you see now
is the dye job that has faded- and yes, I like the current colour too!
Shame they don't sell "light brown faded for 2 months" in a bottle!
