I've been at the computer a lot the last day or so and Buffy gets on my
lap while I'm typing. Demanding attention. Which she gets.

I got a pic of her and those beautiful eyes:

Earlier in the morning she was on my lap while I was typing and fell
asleep, purring loudly, with her tongue slighty sticking out. She was
extremely comfortable. I love it when she's like that. Nice warm happy
lap cat. :)

I'd like to add, she's exactly like Persia when it comes to being an
"only" cat. Persia hated the mere sight of another cat anywhere near
our house. Buffy is the same way. She came from a multi-cat household
where she was bullied by a male Tonkinese named Frankie. When I went to
meet her, Frankie had to be locked away in the sunroom. Buffy was
cowering on a chair under the dining room table. She didn't seem to
realize it was a glass table so we could see her. LOL

Her owner had just died and a friend of hers was adopting out the cats.
I brought Buffy home (not a peep out of her on the ride from a couple
of blocks away). I set her loose in the bedroom, showed her the food,
water and litterbox. She went under the bed. I left her to her own
devices. A while later I went to look for her. I expected to find her
under the bed. Nope. She'd left the bedroom and gotten up on a chair
under *my* dining room table. Mine doesn't have a glass top. The
tablecloth made for a nice little fort. I said hi, tapped my fingers on
the ground and she came out from hiding. :)

She was very wary. She kept expecting another cat to jump out and
surprise her. But she settled in very quickly once she realized there
weren't any other cats in the house.

Like Persia, she doesn't like to see other cats through the windows,
either. Puffy tail and yowling ensues. Fortunately there aren't a lot
of cat owners here who still let their cats go outside anymore.
