The next year I got her another Santa but she hardly touched it, this
is her Santa and the other one is an impostor? Santa's tough- the
head has been hanging off for the last couple of years/ Also as
senior toy Santa spends much of the year under a bookcase but as Xmas
approaches Sarsi bring senior Santa out and kicks 7 bells out of him-
it's her way of reminding me it is almost time for her new Xmas
presents I think!

It's early to be sure, but I can tolerate it as long as people/places
wait until after Remembrance Day (Nov 11).
Sometimes I see the stuff up before Halloween and that gets me
cranky....PLEASE, let us have the season of the dead (Samhain, Oct 31
and Remembrance Day, Nov 11) before we start the rebirth celebrations
of Yule/Christmas.

I agree! The moment the Halloween decorations (for sale) came down in the
shops out came the Christmas stuff. It's way too early for that. I
understand retailers have to gear up for it, though, since it's pretty much
the make or break season for them. Thankfully I haven't worked in retail in
30 years. Shoppers get very cranky during the holiday rush and you just
have to smile and take it.

In the local supermarket we started getting Christmas stuff 2-3 weeks
before Halloween but they had to make room for the Halloween stuff-
now that's gone they're really gearing up.
Today Dave and me after his hospital appointment went to the "Half
Moon" and found that from today in "Wetherspoons" bars you can have a
full Xmas dinner for 5.99 with a drink thrown in..
