NYC: Big Apple Bird Association and Adoption Hotline

The Big Apple Bird Association is a voluntary, non-profit organization of
bird owners in the New York City area who hold monthly meetings in
Manhattan which are open to the public.The meetings are held on the second
Thursday of every month. The donation at each meeting is $3 for members, $5
for non-members.

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, August 10th at 7:30 p.m., Grace
and St. Paul's Church, 123 West 71st Street (between Columbus/Broadway),
(212) 330 - 8160. We will present Doreen Gluck who will talk about
handicapped birds.

The following meeting will be on Thursday, September 14th. Our speaker will
be Dr. Rosemarie Gnam, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Founding Member of
the Association for Parrot Preservation.

On September 17th at 1:00 p.m., we will be having a picnic with our parrots
in Central Park.

ADOPTION HOTLINE: The goal of B.A.B.A.'s Parrot Placement Service is to
provide knowledgeable, caring, quality homes for unwanted pet birds. Birds
that are difficult to handle may be placed with knowledgeable breeders. For
