Sorry, that's Southern Calif, not San Francicso area. I believe Feather
Fantasy in Napa has cockatoos and they will be nice.

If you don't mind going down to the LA area, Rudkin's has the best
selection of types and most perfect aviary I saw anywhere in my tour of
California bird places in March. They have all the common varieties of
'toos, as well as those rarely seen, such as Leadbeater's, red-vents,
Blacks, and long-billed corellas (which I bought). Phoebe Linden of the
Santa Barbara Bird Ranch was also nice, although not as many 'toos. Closer
to you, we met some very well-socialized babies at Tree Bruce's Aviary,
which I think was near San Jose.

Don't forget Rainforest Exotics in the south part of the SF Bay Area.
Email rfha...@aol.com for more info on cockatoos.

I don't know any good cockatoo breeders in that area, but I can recommend
a great one.

Call Chris Shank of Cockatoo Downs at 916-268-3593. I have also heard very
good things about Twin Willows Aviary at 510-634-6070.

Good luck

Layne
