I have two canaries which are in the process of breeding. The female one has
puffed out and is making a low pitch squeaking noise. She also seems to be
breathing heavily and is not as active as she usually is. She has laid eggs
in the past but has never acted like this. Could she be egg bound? If so how
can I help her?
She has been like this for about a week now.
Thanks
Lara

There are ways of assisting a canary to pass an egg which don't require a
vet, but the only ones I've used them on were hens eggbound for less than a
day.
