Mine go bananas when they even see the box.

Yep, birdies can have cereal. You also might try Rice Krispies,
Cheerios, Crispix (all the healthy ones--too much sugar on the sweet
ones wouldn't be too good, and chocolate-flavored ones I would guess
should not be offered).

Our budgie loves corn flakes. He dives right into the cereal bowl if your not
watching.

Ruffles likes cornflakes or any cereal product -- she is
particularly fond of sharing oatmeal with me -- I have to watch
out tho or she'll dive right in the bowl!

My cockatiel dives into any bowl I'm eating out of that contains anything
remotely looking like grain. A bowl of rice is impossible to keep him
away from. If I have guests over the only way I can keep him off the
table is to banish him to another room.

Cockatiels love to be with you and share everything!

I see no harm as long as it is not Frosted Flakes (sugar is unhealthy) and nor
soaked in milk (hard to digest)! We give our baby greys cheerios, as do many
breeders I know. The birds love to play with the cereal AND eat it.

My 'too even recognize the box! Once the box is empty he gets it to

E.T. (CAG) likes Cheerios but avoids Raisin Bran. I suspect she thinks the
raisins are dead flies.

Sounds very familiar! Bernie is definately a table bird. Pepper the
dog doesn't think its fair though! What about pasta...Bernie loves to
steal pasta noodles. He also grabs forks and runs!

How about those "nut covered raisins"? My bird freaks when he hears cereal
being poured! Most pellet food is basically grains. He loves it.
