I don't know who won the debate, but the DOW was up 76 points. Just sayin' :-)

LOL...The DOW responds to celestial laughter and unicorn farts, having little relationship to the politics or reality of life on this mortal plane...

I'm almost certain I heard several of the latter last night.

Theory don't mean squat if it don't work.

I've noticed that same thing. Also gas prices here dropped by 9
cents overnight.

Obviously we need more debates.

Dow went from 8000 to 13500 with Obama. I'm just saying. Rich get richer.

An opportunity open to all. The "rich" weren't all born rich.
In most cases they worked hard and invested wisely.

That doesn't include politicians.
*****************
2000–present: Bear market. The index meanders and then plunges to
a closing low of 7,286.27 on October 9, 2002. A cyclical bull
peak at 14,198, reached exactly five years later, does not
surpass the inflation-adjusted 2000 high. A renewed bear is
recognized in summer 2008 and multiple volatility records are set
that autumn. Another acute phase in early 2009 brings the index
to new 12½ year lows south of 6,469, for a total loss of 54% in
less than 18 months. The Dow remains volatile during its ensuing
climb, losing almost 20% during the summers of 2010 and 2011, but
more than doubles from its low to four-year highs above 13,300 on
May 1, 2012 before entering another summer correction.

And an indicator that President Obama is the man for the job and the
American economy. Feather in the cap of one of the greatest
presidents this country has ever elected!

You forgot to mention infusions of $$$ from the Fed.

At least on paper. Meanwhile the interest paid on CDs dropped from 6% to
under 1% because of massive infusions of "new" money from the Fed used to
buy the Dow higher. Wife & I saved a bit over $200K going into
retirement. That meant about $1000/mo in addition to SS - basically our
travel $$. Now, thanks to 0bama & the Fed we live on SS, pay 2-3X for gas
and stay home. Sure glad "0"s lookin out for the middle class.

Got a link to that? Everything I've seen declares Mitt as debate winner,
to include MSN, what used to be MSNBC.

Also I looked for a FAUX of some kind that was reporting debate news and
couldn't find it. Can you clear this up?

Now go try to borrow some money and look at the gap between what you
pay and what you get. The money handlers are doing quite well at the
top.

Yup at least the appearance but when you factor in inflation and
interest rates below 1% it ain't really party time.

Gee, I'm sorry I implied that Faux favors the GOP and that MSNBC (The
"lean forward" channel) favors liberals. Silly me.
