His son said he was happy. I wonder if George really knows what is going
on. I believe he has Alzheimers.

Our one granddaughter who has been a Met fan like her daddy has become a
convert. 3 grandkids will be getting official World Series tee shirts
for Chaunkah this year (plus a Best Buy Gift Card) The little girl who
has become a Yankee fan has the middle name of Shea. The parents swear
the "Shea" is for something other than the stadium, but we don't think so.

Oh you know it's about the stadium. I was so excited last night,
stayed up way too late to watch the interviews and stuff...

Have you noticed that the more people know about sports figures and
statistics the less they know about important historic events?

Probably the trivia is taking up too much space on their hard drive......

Went to the first Saturday of the month flea market thing in Harlingen I
told yo about. Wore this giant crystal Lone Star on a silver collar
around my neck and my NY Yankee logo earrings. I was a walking symbol of
divided loyalties.

Nothing exciting in the antique stores. Did get some cute earrings on
the street. Barry found a book about Billy Martin he hadn't read yet for $1

We are settling down after baseball. I am starting to pack. We are
getting the Cocker on Monday for 8 days. Barry put one of those pet
guards on the screen door today. No more "doggie door" Took Mickey with
us to walk on the street today and he was a perfect little angel.
Listened to my commands and heeled like a champion.

You mean: "The Yankees money finally bought a world series!!!"

Baseball will be much more enjoyable for the average fan, if someday
MLB finally realizes it neads a salary cap like the NFL. In my
opinion, there isn't any ball player who deserves over a quarter of a
billion dollar contract!

Finally? That was their 27th win.

And an expensive rifle will usually win more matches than a cheap one.

But an expensive deck of cards shouldn't win more than a cheap deck!

WIth the money they've spent over the last decade, they were highly
disappointed not to have won the Series since 2000!

Damn right! Wonder what the Steinbrenner's (and the Yankee fans)
would think if Donald Trump bought the Mets, and spent $800 million on
a payroll, lol!
