I have been using a "news aggregator" for a few years, as it is about 80% actual news, 10% gossip, and 10% silliness. It also has comments that, except for obvious crudities, are not censored. It's been fun.

Recently, they have began to put ads in the middle of the comments section, in addition to -- as every one else does -- framing the page with ads.

It is fooookin' irritating.

So.........I looked for a new one.

Tried Google News..........what SHIT. It's like PMSNBC.

Are they all like that ??

I already use CNN,FOX,Human Progress,CSM,BBC, etc, but I like to look around.

Any suggestions (I want a comments section) ?

Any website needs 2 things visitors and revenue and as we all are cheap and wont subscribe the one way to generate revenue is advertising, and without one or the other any website will soon cease to exist.

Stalin, Mao, and Hitler didn't murder millions of people.
Their public service workers did.
But they were just doing their jobs.....

Mostly because I don't care. I was making a suggestion in response to
Oz's question.

If I have to explain rhetorical questions to you, you wouldn't
understand anyway.

Again with the weaseling. Rhetorical questions are not usually punctuated
with a question mark. Give it up, Bruce. You’ve been busted.

Quoting myself... "not usually". Either is permissible. And, I didn't
need no steenkin' google to tell me. To your point though, I was wrong
once. It was when I thought I was wrong but I was actually right.

And with that comment, you make my point that you are either too stupid
to figure out that my initial comment was a rhetorical question, or you
were whining just to see your words in print. Either way, the problem
is yours.

Me thinks the online "news" malaise is a function of "free." The only
way they can monetize their business is ads. As of now, I think that the
only way you're going to get quality reporting is to pay for it.
