place to camp - Lake Mead, Nv

My wife and I are looking for camping areas, either state campground
or off road area in the Lake Mead area, during the end of September.
We will be pulling a 27 foot RV trailer so extreme off road is not an
option.

Looks like I'm way too late to answer this one, but just started
reading this place. We're just back from scouting Lake Mead area.
Beautiful, and very very quiet if you like dead silence.
